AMS VP External Elections website

- Simple, user-friendly site to allow UBC Alma Mater Society VP External office to post information on various elections
- All elements on the front page (pictured above) were adjustable with minimal effort
- The site structure allowed AMS executives to expand the site to fit their changing needs with very little technical knowledge
- Based on WordPress
- Note: All text and opinions were produced by the VP External Office without my involvement

Ubyssey.ca redesign

- Page layout allowed the site to display a large amount of information from the newspaper’s various sections, much of it without needing to scroll down the page
- Introduced and highlighted multimedia content
- Emphasized and encouraged user response
- Utilized a rotating slideshow to showcase stories on the site’s front page
- Completely integrated with WordPress CMS
- Any of the paper’s contributors could manage the entire site with almost no training or technical knowledge
- WordPress has since made news-style sites much easier, but at the time it was quite rare
- Site traffic nearly doubled during my time managing the site
